Abstract—The use of standards in Telemedicine assure several principles such as: operability, portability and mobility quality, security and confidence. The technology and applications are reaching the maturity plateau where standards for any application are available. In this paper we will analyze the most generic ones, although for each specific application there are working groups in the standardization committees taking care of them.
